117/400 Garcia Street(1) completed construction in 2017, it began accepting tenants the following year. This makes it one of the oldest buildings in the city still operating to its original intent.
The metal had been in it from the start, though for the longest time it was inert.

this is a really special piece. the visuals are immaculate and i love the meandering, poetic pacing that cumulates in a really satisfying concluding few scenes. love how you were able to transform AI/house sex into something evocative of the 'fucking trans women' zine. trans inter-object sex is lowkey revelatory. watched 'video 69' after playing and I think your twist of it into two objects makes it even more potent.

i did have a couple blackscreens/game-not-continuing moments while playing that required me to restart, but I think I saw the ending eventually (slowly dimming as MES/Garcia exchange dialogue). regardless, i'll definitely be following your work from here on out :)

I really adored this though I struggle to put into words what I adored. The living building, the music choices, the commentary on housing upper management, and I love.. Garcia. MES's own struggles felt like mine throughout in that I also struggled to differentiate what it was experiencing with the information given to me by the reports. Memory loss and being the reader made me feel kinship.

I at some point eventually had to play this without the videos though I'd hoped it'd just work eventually. I did play them separately though. Many were quite short. Perhaps stability in GameMaker can be achieved via frame switching or a large sprite sheet, but I am just guessing!

Thank you so much for submitting! It was so nice to consume another work by you! There are many more by you I should eat too.. Please make games forever!

thank you for leaving such a nice comment, it means a lot! and for hosting the jam, i had a really nice time making this game :]

you’re probably right with the sprite sheet tip! I’m kinda kicking myself for not making the game in an engine that runs in browser. Maybe i’ll remake it one day in inkrunner.. but turning the videos into sprites is a considerably more simple solution ^^; ty for suggesting it
